Images in email campaigns
There can be a few reasons why images in your email campaigns aren't displaying how you want them to. Below are some common image display issues.
Common issues:
- My image is sideways or the wrong orientation
Images that are taken with common smart phones such as iPhone and Samsung can sometimes contain data or extra information inside the images properties. This information tells you what position your phone was when you captured your photo. When you upload this image to your email campaign or the Image and File Manager the position of this image may display incorrectly. When you send the email out some email clients will display the image in its original orientation, which can be sideways. Some browsers or email clients will not read this extra information and this is why some will show the image the correct orientation. To learn how to remove this extra information or "exif data" please find out here - Outlook won't show the images in my email campaign
Some email clients such as Outlook will block the images from some senders. This is a security setting and you will need to modify the settings of your email client to allow images from email campaigns, or add the contact / sender to your safe senders list. This will make the images show from this sender for future campaigns.
