How to Add an FAQ on a Page

Navigate To The Page

1. Login to TheWebConsole

2. From the left side menu click Manage Pages and choose Content Pages

3. From the content page list either Add Page or Edit an Existing Page

Adding A FAQ Module To The Page

1. Once the drag and drop editor has loaded you will be given the option to add different content modules into the page. All of these content modules first require a “Section” to be added. Once you have added your section and formatted it to your liking, simply click the “FAQ” content module, located in the side menu. Once clicked, drag the module into the page, you will notice a blue highlighted box appear on the page wherever it is possible to add the module.

Choosing Your FAQ Categories

1. Once you have added the FAQ content module to the page it will automatically pull across all of the existing FAQ’s. To select which FAQ categories to show, click the module and click the edit button, the edit button appears as a pencil icon in the top right of the section.

2. Once the edit window loads you will be given the ability to choose the category or categories you wish to display. Leaving the option blank will continue to show all categories. To limit the display down to specific categories simply type the category in the “FAQ Categories'' field

Styling Your FAQ

1. Once you have added your FAQ module and chosen the categories you can then style the content module, this can be done via the 3 tabs Layout, Question and Answer, covered below:

  • Layout - Allows you to choose the overall styling of the FAQ’s

    • Listing Template - Allows you to choose the display of your FAQ’s

    • Padding and Margin - Allows you to choose the space between the FAQs and other content

  • Question - Allows you to style the questions within the FAQ’s

    • Text Colour - Allows you to choose a colour for the question text

    • Background Colour - Allows you to choose a colour for the background of the question text

    • Font Family - Allows you to choose the font type of the question text

    • Font Size - Allows you to choose the size of the question text

    • Font Weight - Allows you to choose the boldness of the question text

    • Text Decoration - Allows you to add an underline or strike through in the question text

  • Answer - Allows you to style the answers within the FAQ’s

    • Text Colour - Allows you to choose a colour for the answer text

    • Background Colour - Allows you to choose a colour for the background of the answer text

    • Font Family - Allows you to choose the font type of the answer text

    • Font Size - Allows you to choose the size of the answer text

    • Font Weight - Allows you to choose the boldness of the answer text

    • Text Decoration - Allows you to add an underline or strike through in the answer text

 

2. Once you have chosen your styling click the “Save and Close” button to apply the settings to your FAQ module

4. Once you have saved the FAQ module and made any other page edits required, click the “Save'' button on the bottom of the side menu to save the page.
