How to Add a Video to your Blog
Navigate to the Blog Editor
1. Login to TheWebConsole
2. From the left side menu click Blog and choose Blog posts.
3. From the blog post list either "Add Post" or click "Edit" on the desired blog.

Adding A Video Module
1. Once the drag-and-drop editor has loaded you will be given the option to add different content modules into the page. Click the “Video” content module, located in the side menu. Click and drag the module into the page, you will notice a blue highlighted box appear on the page wherever it is possible to add the module.
Applying the Video Settings
1. Once the video module has been added to the page, hover over the module and click the edit button, the edit button appears as a pencil icon in the top right of the section.
2. Once the edit window loads you will have the ability to add your video, to do this first select the Video Type. Video type allows you to choose where the video is hosted, the supported options are Youtube or Vimeo. You also have the ability to upload a video directly to the image and file manager, these files must be mp4 format and under 80mb in size. Depending on the video type chosen the settings within the edit window will change, these are listed below:
Video Link: Here you will post the full URL link to the video you wish to display. Once you enter your URL into the text area, click the USE button to select the video.
Poster Image: Here you have the option to select a poster image for the video. This will display in place of the video until the video is played.
Ratio: Here you have the option for the video to display as 16:9 or 4:3
- Video Options:
Allow Full Screen: This allows users to maximize the video to full screen.
Hide Title: This allows you to hide the video title.
Show Related Video: This allows Youtube to pull through related videos, we recommend ticking this box.
Hide Controls: This will show the Youtube playback controls, we recommend ticking this box.
Auto Play: This can be used to automatically play the video once the page loads.
Muted: This can be used to remove the audio from the playback.
Loop: This allows for you to have the video play on loop.
Adding Video Styling
1. Once you have chosen a video you can apply styling and effects by clicking the “Edit” button. This can be done by clicking the video module in the section and clicking the edit button, the edit button appears as a pencil icon in the top right of the section. This will open the edit window allowing you to select the Style tab, these settings are covered below:
Style
Icon Size: You will get the option to size the icon in PX, EM, or REM units of measurement.
Icon Border: Allows you to apply and style a border around the Icon.
Icon Background: Allows you to set the icon background color.
Icon Colour: This allows you to set the color of the icon.
Image Align: This allows you to choose the position of the image within the section.
2. Once you have added your video and its settings click the blue Save button to save the video content module.
3. Once you have saved the video module and finished building your page, click the “Save” button on the bottom of the side menu to save the page and apply the video.
Note: Always remember to follow the final point and save the page itself, or the hard work you have done will not be applied.
