How To Create A Google My Business Account

 To create a Google My Business account for improved Google Presence please follow the process below.

  1. Open your web browser and go to this URL https://www.google.com/business/
  2. Click the Sign In button
  3. Sign In using your clients Gmail/Google Apps account (please do not use a personal email address)
  4. Depending on the websites purpose choose one of the following options Storefront, Service Area OR Brand
  5. Choosing brand will create a Google + account, you will need to fill out the contact details, this is the final step for brand.
  6. Choosing Store Front Or Service Area will give you a new screen.
  7. Search for the Business name, if your business is already showing
  8. If your business does not show results choose None Of These Match
  9. Fill out the contact details (note, a PO box address is not suitable)
  10. Hit Continue (if your business name is similar to another you will be prompted to choose their details or keep your own details)
  11. Tick the terms and conditions agreement and click continue
  12. Click the Mail Button to receive the verification code (you must do this)
  13. From here you will get prompted to take a tour of the system, once the tour is finished fill out the contact details, add the company logo and any other additional company information.

You have now completed the Google My Business account creation process.
