Website Management Tab

Make changes to the menu

The menu is a combination of submenus, headings and links to pages.

Creating sub-menus

A sub-menu is a way of condensing the size of your menu by grouping pages that are similar to each other.

You can create a sub-menu by:

  1. Clicking on the "Page Menu" tab within the "Manage pages" section of thewebconsole.
  2. Type the name of your sub-menu into the "Add Sub-Menu" field.
  3. Click Add - this will create a box within the page where you can now add pages to.

Adding pages to a menu

When a typical page is created using the system, it will appear within the box at the bottom of the "Page Menu" section of thewebconsole, located within the "Manage Pages" section in a section called ** Hidden pages.

  1. Find the page you want to move (it will probably be hidden).
  2. Select the where you would like it to appear from the drop down box.
  3. You can control the order of items within each submenu by changing the sort order in the "Sort Order" column.

Adding a custom link

If the page you are trying to link to isn't a normal page, you can link to it from within the "Custom Menu Items" box within the "Page Menu" tab of "Manage Pages":

  1. Give the link a name (i.e. the name that will appear within the menu).
  2. Paste the link into the "Link To" field.
  3. If you want the link to open in a popup, you can tick the "Popup" tick box.
  4. Once the link is created, it will be added to the "** Hidden pages" box at the bottom of this page.
  5. Select where you would like it to appear in the drop box.
